Buddha Amitayus Initiation (as part of the opening ceremony)

Course leader Ven. Lodrö Rinpoche

This great initiation of Buddha Amitayus is called Immortal Sound of Drumming and belongs to Kriya Tantra.

Buddha Amitayus helps us to remove obstacles to a long and healthy life and to connect with the sources of our power and life energy. Many successful female and male masters of all Tibetan schools engaged in this practice. With this first great initiation at Ganden Chökhor we wish for a good and auspicious start of our new center. We pray for a long and healthy life for all teachers, and especially for thelong life of the Ven. Lodrö Rinpoche. May we all be able to do this practice in order to strengthen our precious resources for the practice of the dharma.

There are no prerequisites or commitments. Daily recitation of the Amitayus mantra is recommended.

In November 20010 we will hold a traditional Amitayus retreat with four sessions a day and the recitation of 10’000 mantras.
